91/100 Wine Spectator “Refined with delicate flavors.”
Sparkling Winemaker of the Year International Wine Challenge 2017
The Charles de Casanove NV is an elegant example of fine Pinot Noir dominant Champagne with delicate red fruit flavours showcased in a fresh framework with some lovely yeasty / brioche complexity. It is truly delicious - a wonderful aperitif but an exciting match with smoked salmon or rare roast beef salad. It's a rare occassion to see Rosé Champagne of this calibre under $50.
Each bottle comes gift boxed. LIMITED STOCKS.
The Charles de Cazanove brand is one of the oldest in the Champagne region. It was started in 1811, by Charles Gabriel De Cazanove. In 1983, leading winemaker, Christophe Rapeneau, joined Charles De Cazanove and modernised the winery to guarantee the authenticity of the wines being crafted. Partnering with local grape growers and partners all over the Champagne region, Charles De Cazanove craft and produce champagnes made from rich, varied assemblages – which satisfy and tantalise a wide variety of tastes all over the world.
Wine Spectator writes “91/100 Refined, with well-meshed acidity providing a backbone for delicate flavors of dried currant, graphite, green plum, meringue and grapefruit zest. Fresh, smoke-tinged finish.”
The final blend was 15% Chardonnay, 50 % Pinot Noir, 20% Pinot Meunier, 15% Côteaux Champenois Rouge.
