GOLD MEDAL | Best Value China Wine & Spirits Awards
GOLD MEDAL | Catavinum World Wine & Spirits Competition
FIVE STARS 93/100 | Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
18/20 | Candice Chow, Raymond Chan Wine Reviews
What a stunner. The team behind Brilla Prosecco set out to create a funky, fun sparkling wine that was a celebration in a bottle and they've certainly done that.
The bottle itself is something pretty special; the ultra-cool patterned glass and sparkling blue label will make this a feature on any festive dinner table. And the wine inside backs up all that glitz and glam on the outside. With multiple gold medals and rave reviews, this is well-balanced and vibrant with delicate mousse and a long, fresh finish. Delicious, glamorous and under the $20 barrier on case buys. How good.
Sam Kim writes "It's fabulously expressed on the nose showing honeydew melon, apricot, lemon peel and floral aromas, followed by a succulent palate displaying excellent fruit purity together with refreshing acidity, finishing long and delicious."
Candice Chow, Raymond Chan Wine Reviews writes "Bright, pale yellow, even colour throughout. Moderate persistent bubbles. The nose is soft and creamy, with subtle nuances of apple, pear and stonefruit melded with delicate florals and creamy lees. Medium-light bodied, the fresh and crunchy aroma of green apple, nashi pear and peach leading the palate with lively acidity, unveil delicate florals, and linger on a creamy palate and subtle spice on the finish. The fruit has concentration and brightness, flow smoothly along a mouthwatering acid drive; creamy lees and a touch of sugar balanced the acidity. Match with sushi and Thai fare over the next 2-3 years."
The winery writes "Refreshingly crisp with a delicate perlage, pale straw yellow color. Delicate and complex bouquet with fruity notes reminiscent of peach and green apple with secondary notes of acacia and lilac. Fresh and light on the palate, with balanced acidity and body; harmonious with a lingering aftertaste. Ideal as an aperitif, it pairs perfectly with hors d’oeuvres and delicate first courses. Also excellent with sushi, fish and shellfish."
