93 POINTS | Cameron Douglas MS
Quality estate grown Hawkes Bay Chardonnay that has been finely crafted for the Bostock family by celebrated winemaker Rod McDonald. We loved this wine. It is a complex, layered and textural Chardonnay that showcases the regions traditional stonefruit profiles with power and grace. An instant classic that comes very highly recommended.
The winery writes "A classic Hawke’s Bay Chardonnay with attractive spiced oak and roasted nut notes which complement the summer fruit aromatics that our region is widely known for. The wine unfolds gracefully to bring joy to all occasions."
Cameron Douglas MS writes "Toasty, smoky, nutty and richly scented bouquet with aromas of vanilla and sweet wood spices, baked yellow stone fruits, apple and sweet grapefruit peel. The complexity builds as the wine begins to open up in glass. On the palate - equally bold, nutty and rich. Flavours reflect the nose with stone fruits, citrus and tree fruit. Full bodied, a silky creamy texture with a baked custard note, medium acidity and a lengthy, a balanced even finish. Best drinking from today and through 2023."
