Blackenbrook are a small, family-run winery in the Nelson region. They take a 'quality over quantity' approach to winemaking and, as well as being an accredited sustainable winegrowing producer, most of their wines are also unfined and vegan.
This is a superb example of Gewurz. It's off-dry with characteristic flavours of rose petal and spice. Mouthfilling and lingering, this is an excellent partner for your next curry.
Cameron Douglas MS writes "Immediately seductive scents of apple strudel, exotic tropical fruits, ripe citrus with tangerine orange spice suggestions and floral. Delicious on the palate with a satin texture, vibrant acid line and flavours of citrus and tropical fruits, flowers and exotic spices that reflect the bouquet. A lovely example ready to drink from 2022 through 2025+."
Bob Campbell MW writes "Creamy-textured Gewürztraminer with typical Turkish Delight, lychee and pot-pourri flavours. A hint of sweetness is balanced by fruity acidity to give a fairly dry finish. A fragrant, gentle and appealing wine."
