2013 was the 'vintage of a lifetime' in Hawke's Bay and this perfectly bottle-aged release is in exceptional form. Originally released as the 'best of vintage', flagship merlot by one of the Bay's finest winemaking teams*, this is a powerful wine that shows layers of complex dark fruit flavours, sweet vanillin oak spice and a finish that goes on and on.

On release this wine was smothered in accolades including a GOLD MEDAL at the Decanter World Wine Awards and 96pts from Cameron Douglas MS.   

Now softly rounded and perfectly integrated, this is a world class example of what bottle-aged New Zealand Merlot is capable of, and a credit to those involved in its production.
