FIVE STARS 95/100 | Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
Great value Gimblett Gravels Syrah from the safe hands of Chris Harrison at Beach House wines. This is a powerful, highly aromatic, and concentrated wine with a core of dark berries and a hint of spice. Those classic syrah characters flow though to a boldly weighted, powerful palate that shows plenty of charm. The excellent 2024 vintage has added an extra bit of magic here too. Great buying from this rock-solid producer.

Sam Kim, Wine Orbit writes "The complex bouquet shows Black Doris plum, dark cherry, star anise, cracked pepper, and roasted hazelnut aromas. It's concentrated and plush in the mouth, displaying an expansive mouthfeel with layers of fine tannins, making it velvety and sumptuous. At its best: now to 2034."
The winery writes "Aromas of boysenberry, raspberry, blueberry, tamarillo, black pepper, and spice lead into bold and intense palate brimming with red fruits. This is a rich, flavoursome, mouth filling Syrah that’s only going to get better with age."
