Much has been said and written about the Gimblett Gravels area being fantastic for Syrah. Babich was a pioneer of this region and a portion of the fruit for this release comes from the famous Babich Gimblett Gravels vineyard. It's an accessible middleweight syrah that's big on berry fruit, sprinkled with spice and pepper. Always great value.
The winery writes "Plum and raspberry with a sweet vanilla note and a touch of dark cedar. Dried herbs. Fine tannins create a creamy texture to a palate loaded with dark fruits and sweet spice. Black pepper, redcurrant and dried goji
berry. Balanced and lively."
