CHARDONNAY SUPERBUY
Alpha Domus has a well won reputation for crafting fine Hawke's Bay Chardonnay made from Gisborne grown grapes and this excellent release from their Collection series is a study in affordable quality. Winemaker Barry Riwai has worked some magic in the cellar and this is a generous style for chardonnay in this price band with plenty of creamy fruit weight and some nice toasty oak influence. Tremendous value.

Tasting Notes
Lovely medium to full bodied chardonnay with a creamy, nicely textural mid palate and a fresh lingering finish with flavours of lemon butter and citrus.
The winery writes "A fresh Chardonnay with appealing oak influences, pure ripely scented citrus and crunchy stone fruit characters. We made several passes in the vineyard to obtain a range of ripeness levels and to add complexity. Embellished with layers of flavour from extended time on yeast lees and creaminess from full malolactic fermentations, all wrapped around a smooth texture with a clean crisp finish. Will accompany your seafood, white meats and salads perfectly."
