Zaria are a boutique Hawke's Bay producer with winemaker Bryce Edmonds at the helm. The majority of the fruit for their wines come off their Bridge Pa site, Lesley's Vineyard, and Bryce takes a minimal intervention approach to winemaking.
Their 2023 malbec rosé is a vibrant, zesty wine, with bright red berry notes and racy acidity. It's crisp, dry and absolutely delicious. Climb in.

Cameron Douglas MS writes "Ripe, fresh fruity and individual, a wine of freshness and fresh berry fruit flavours of cranberry and cherry, some apple and sweet fruit tea flavours. Fine tannins, plenty of acidity and a chalky texture all add up to a bright and delicious wine with super fine tannins and a light saline quality to the acid line."
Sam Kim, Wine Orbit writes "Pristine and fabulously elegant, the wine shows sweet strawberry, pomegranate, nectarine and subtle spice aromas, leading to a finely flowing palate that's juicy and vibrant. Beautifully balanced and harmonious with a lengthy refreshing finish."
Michael Cooper writes "Full of youthful impact, the 2023 vintage (4*) is a single-vineyard wine, estate-grown in the Bridge Pa Triangle. Bright, light pink, it is light-bodied, with fresh, strong, strawberry and watermelon flavours, a sliver of sweetness, and appetising acidity."
