FULL-BODIED SAVOURY SYRAH!
93/100 & RATED EXCELLENT: Cameron Douglas MS
Very supple and appealing, this is beautifully poised wine - densely framed with an amalgam of red, black and blue fruits presiding over a palate that shows classic Gimblett Gravels Syrah anise characters and a healthy dollop of oak spice. Vinted in the fresher fruit, brighter style that seems to do so well on the judging circuit at the moment, this is an immediately attractive style that will work especially well with food. Recommended.

Cameron Douglas writes: "93pts Aromas and flavours of violets and plums, black currant and echoes of smoked meats. Tannins and acidity add lots of structure with a fine chalky mouthfeel and tautness, the flavours of dark berries and plums are at the core providing the fleshy contrast and balance. Dry, well made with plenty of length and style. Best drinking from 2025 through 2029+."
The winery writes "This delicious Syrah conveys blueberry, black fruits and subtle spice, with hints of white pepper and liquorice, with a lingering finish of toasty oak. Full bodied and imbued with supple integrated tannins makes this wine complex and savoury."
