Perfectly ripe fruit from the Osawa Vineyard on the Mangatahi Terraces sets the stage for something truly special. Ollie Powrie destemmed the berries into a Hungarian amphora, adding 20% whole clusters before a hand-plunged wild ferment. The wine then rested on full skins and seeds for 150 days before being gently pressed to a single seasoned oak barrel and a clay egg for another five months.
A vivid, savoury Sangiovese bursting with wild cherry, red plum, and dried herbs. The amphora brings a lifted, mineral edge; the oak adds subtle roundness and polish. It’s energetic, layered, and gorgeously tactile.

Bright garnet in the glass with lifted aromas of wild cherry, rose petal, and sun-dried herbs. The palate is vibrant and pure, offering redcurrant, cranberry, and blood orange notes layered over fine, earthy tannins and a subtle savoury grip from the extended skin contact. The amphora brings a beautiful sense of freshness and mineral drive, while a whisper of old oak rounds the edges without dulling the energy.
