This is a deadly serious style drawing saliva from the mouth with its blackcurrant and dried bay leaf flavours coupled with very firm (but not dry) tannins. The winery writes "A two-part harmony of raging, surging, power-bursting berry fruit flavours harnessed by swirling, rolling currents of tannin - four-square and block in shape. Licks of racing acidity are slick and keen around the entire palate’s edge. The depth of berry fruit is Mariana Trench-like, and the drying tannins that make for a long, lingering aftertaste promise life in the cellar. This is cabernet that is proud, yet also winningly friendly."
