Beach House La Plage Arneis 2025

NZ WINEGROWERS TROPHY FOR CHAMPION OTHER WHITE VARIETIES | NWAA 2025
GOLD MEDAL | NZIWS 2025
GOLD MEDAL | NWAA 2025
93/100 | David Walker Bell, Wine Folio

A brand-new adventure from the Beach House crew, and their first crack at the Italian white grape arneis! Already famous for their chardonnays and montepulciano, the team has now added this zesty number to the family, and it’s a beauty. Handpicked with family and friends from the Kōkako Vineyard in the sunny Ohiti Valley, the 2025 vintage couldn’t have been kinder.

Bright, fresh and dangerously moreish, this Arneis bursts with passionfruit, baked pear and tropical fruit on the nose. The palate is generous and mouth-filling, with flavours of almond and more baked pear, all pulled into line by a crisp line of acidity that keeps you coming back for another splash.

Tasting Notes

The winery writes "Bright and fresh with aromas of passion fruit, baked pears and tropical fruits. On the palate, there are flavours of almond and more baked pear, a full mouth-filling fruitiness balanced with the acid that brings you back for more."

David Walker Bell, Wine Folio writes "This is a rare example of the italian grape varietal. A slightly orange-tinged gold in the glass. Scented with pear, lemon, apple and quince, there is also a touch of cardamom and almond to the nose. Medium-bodied and with generous fruit to the fore, the palate balances acidity and texture, whilst staying dry and crisp. The finish is harmonious and has some depth and length to it. Well worthy of those awards."
