This is serious Trophy-winning red wine from a producer who definitely knows what they're doing. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (47%), Malbec (23%), Cabernet Franc (20%) and Merlot (10%) means there is plenty going on in the glass here. Expect plenty of fruit generosity and notes of cocoa with finely tuned tannins finishing things off.
47% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Malbec, 20% Cabernet Franc & 10% Merlot.
Cameron Douglas MS writes "A classic wine with a classic bouquet - aromas of dark berries and baked bell-pepper, sweet tobacco, milk chcolate and plums, black currant and a touch of violet. Youthful, ripe and enticing. A core of ripe red berry flavours touch the palate first, then toasty almost smoky wood with clove and vanilla. Ripe tannins and acidity add texture and mouthfeel. Fresh, fruity, youthful and delicious."
The winery writes "A blend of four classic varietals; Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Cabernet Franc & Merlot. This generous blend boasts a rich deep red-purple colour. Aromas of blackberries, satsuma plum and anise fill the glass. On the palate, plush tannins are accompanied by rich notes of cassis and blackcurrant. Together they produce a wine with lavish density, complexity and length. A wine that can be enjoyed now or laid down to age for many years."
