Always a prime example of the fuller Bannockburn style, this popular Central Otago Pinot has developed quite the reputation as more and more customers become aware of it's obvious charms. Plush and quite opulent for wine in this price bracket, it's one of those immediately attractive Pinots that delivers everything you could ask for under $30. Great buying.
The sun-drenched, rocky terraces of the Diggings vineyard create a delicious wine with charm, elegance, clean fruit flavours, and length. Beautifully perfumed with a red cherry like richness and a deep but soft texture. This wine lets the vineyard do the talking. Simply delicious.
The winery writes "Raspberry, cherry and bramble fruits with hints of rosemary and thyme on the nose, lead to a palate of bright red fruits with clove and licorice and cocoa. Supple and fleshy, it has fine tannins, talc-like texture and a grippy intensity. Unified by a line of fresh acidity from front to back, it finishes with oodles of dark cherry and spice.
