92 POINTS | Cameron Douglas MS
FIVE STARS 93/100 | Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
Gorgeous, perfectly weighted Sauvignon Blanc from a top flight producer. Summerhouse is certainly a star on the rise and must now be considered in any conversation of Marlborough's finest Sauvignon expressions. This really is about as good as it gets. Aromatic and inviting. Plush and textural. Tangy and deliciously moreish.
A must try wine for fans of top flight Sauvignon Blanc. Prepare to fall in love.
Sam Kim writes "Bright and fresh, it's instantly appealing on the nose showing Granny Smith apple, apricot, sweet basil and lemon zest aromas. The palate delivers excellent fruit intensity together with juicy acidity, finishing lingering and super tasty."
Cameron Douglas MS writes "Nice and pungent with a savoury edge, a core of fresh citrus and tropical fruits then a lifted green herb quality. There’s no mistaking the youthful power and signature of the variety and on the palate, fruity at the core, luscious, salivating and just dry on the finish. Flavours of citrus and tropical fruits along with apple and a savoury mineral quality coat the palate. Refreshing, balanced, well made and ready with best drinking from late 2022 through 2027."
The winery writes "A riot of ripe citrus and tropical fruit aromas. Loaded with juicy rock melon, lychee, vibrant stone fruits and lemongrass, the mouth-watering finish on this one deserves some serious savouring."
