A KIWI PROSECCO STAR IS BORN!
FIVE STARS 93/100 | Sam Kim, Wine Orbit - "Splendidly structured by bright acidity"
Back in 1998, vineyard legends Geordie Witters and Paul Tietjen decided it was time to make wine from the grapes they’d been growing for decades, and the TW brand was born. 98 wines is their fun, new side project, and this prosecco is exactly that vibe in a bottle.
Vinted from glera - the traditional prosecco grape - it's a very good Kiwi example of the Italian sparkling wine that has captured the hearts of a global audience. Prosecco is all about delicate flavours with subtle white fleshed fruits to the fore, and that's exactly what the TW gang have delivered. It's bright and fresh. It's juicy and moreish. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Sam Kim, Wine Orbit writes "It's finely scented on the nose, showing green rockmelon, fig, lemon zest and floral nuances, leading to a beautifully flowing palate that's fleshy and creamy. Splendidly structured by bright acidity, making it fabulously drinkable. At its best: now to 2027."
The winery writes "Perfumed with utterly delightful jasmine, peach and pink apple, this wonderfully bright Gisborne Prosecco is the ultimate sparkly treat. Fine bubbles burst with flavours of white peach, rosy apple and sweet mandarin. Joyfully wrapped with just a hint of sweetness and alcohol."
