This is gloriously plush Barossa Shiraz - and one of the smoothest premium Australian wines you will ever see.
Sons of Eden co-owners, Corey Ryan ( who“cut his teeth” as winemaker at Henschke for 10 years) winemaker and Simon Cowham (ex-viticulturist Yalumba) can do no wrong! This spectacular Old Vine shiraz from 60 to 80 year old vineyards in the Barossa Valley has had 20 months in predominantly new American and French oak. A wine that is powerful, concentrated, intense and yet smooth.
Sam Kim, Wine Orbit writes "It is gloriously perfumed on the nose showing blackberry, dark plum, floral, olive and cake spice aromas, leading to a concentrated palate that is opulent and mouthfilling. The wine is superbly fruited and generous, while remaining graceful and structured with a persistent engaging finish."
