Redmetal Syrah 2022

Redmetal enjoy a cult like following for their soft, expressive Hawke's Bay reds and this boutique Hawke's Bay Syrah is no exception. The 2022 vintage gave winemaker Grant Edmonds great fruit to work with, and this lovely expression is perfumed and supple; a flowing, fruit-forward, subtly spiced syrah in the modern Hawke's Bay style. A small percentage of merlot on the blend brings another layer of soft, round fruit characters and a hint of choco-berry flavour on the finish. Already open and approachable, this wine is dangerously easy to drink in its youth, but will flourish and develop further complexity over the coming 5 years.
