A sublime expression of regional Riesling. Dry but not austere, this delicious wine will impress now as an aperitif but is built for the long haul if cellaring is your preferred option. Recommended.
The winery writes "The Prophet’s Rock Dry Riesling comes from our Rocky Point vineyard, where we have a tiny one-hectare parcel growing on schist rock soil. Riesling holds a special place in our hearts and gets a lot of attention in the vineyard and winery. Wild yeast ferment in old oak barrels & cellared before release. Complex, floral & citrus aromas with great freshness, spice & underlying minerality."
James Suckling writes "Attractive crushed stones, grapefruit and lemon peel with some light, lees-derived, pastry-like notes, too. The palate has impressively fresh and lively flavors with bright peaches and lemons holding long and smooth. Layered yet piercing textural style here."
