Mon Cheval Mon Petit Pinot Noir 2015

Inspired by champion harness racehorse Under Cover Lover, this beautifully aged Pinot Noir captures both elegance and quiet power, much like its namesake.

Sourced from a tiny 2.2ha vineyard in the Weka Pass subregion of Waipara Valley, this unfined and unfiltered release is the younger sibling to the Mon Cheval range. Now with 11 years of bottle age, it has evolved into something truly special, showcasing the same refined aromatics and layered texture, but with a softer, more savoury edge. it’s beautifully poised, silky yet structured, with firm tannins and medium acidity carrying the wine to a long, satisfying finish. It's obviously mature and drinking beautifully now.
