Tasting Notes
Gotas de Mar Ribiero Godello 2023 - This exceptional Godello from DO Ribeiro shines with a brilliant pale lemon color and offers aromatic notes of yellow stone fruits, stony minerals, and a subtle hint of fresh sea breeze. On the palate, it is vibrant and balanced, with a delightful combination of tropical fruits and minerality, enhanced by a mouthwatering acidity. The finish is long and refreshing, leaving a clean, lingering impression.
Fontana Oveja Blanca 2023 - The winery writes "This is an elegant example of Dry Muscat, showing the freshness and balance of high altitude vineyards. Straw yellow bright and clean. Aromas of lychee, grapefruit and rose petal with a honeyed and minty background. The palate is easy to drink with a long aftertaste."
Louise Dubois 1885 Chardonnay 2023 - Pale gold in the glass with an inviting nose of ripe tropical fruits—think pineapple, melon, and stonefruit—layered with hints of roasted hazelnut, vanilla bean, and a subtle toasty oak edge. The palate is generous and textural, showing excellent fruit weight balanced by well-integrated oak. The finish is smooth and lingering, with a gentle spice lift and just enough acidity to keep things fresh.
Fontana Mesta Tempranillo 2023 - The winery writes "The Mesta was a powerful association of shepherds in Medieval Castile, controlling the routes for herding sheep across the country. Our vineyards are nestled deep in the heart of Castile and are still passed over by flocks on their annual migration – a symbol of our commitment to organic and sustainable viticulture. This is a vibrant and juicy, unoaked red wine, showing great purity of aromas with notes of black berries, rosemary and a touch of liquorice. Very versatile, medium-bodied wine, excellent with tapas, grilled meat, sausages and pasta."
Lavau Cotes du Rhone 2022 - The nose is fresh and with aroma of strawberry, raspberry, black cherry and a little peppery spice. The medium-bodied wine is very easy to drink with plenty of tasty fruit balanced by more peppery spice.
Menhir Salento Quota 29 Primitivo 2022 - Menhir Salento Quota 29 is produced from 100 per cent Primitivo and has a strong ruby-red with a touch of violet colour. It has a pleasant, fresh, clear and expressive taste along with a ripe morello cherries, mint and blackberries bouquet.
