FIVE STARS 94/100 | Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
93 POINTS | Cameron Douglas MS
A fragrant Pinot Gris with jasmine, almond and pear notes. Another great vintage from this reputable Gisborne vineyard. Don't hesitate.
Sam Kim, Wine Orbit writes "Beautifully fruited and inviting, it's elegantly fragrant on the nose showing apricot, Asian pear, rich floral and subtle spice aromas, leading to a succulent palate that's rounded and silky. Wonderfully balanced and harmonious with juicy flavours, finishing long and refreshing."
Cameron Douglas MS writes "Youthful, bright and varietal with a distinctive core of fresh white flowers and citrus then green pear and lees adding breadth and complexity. Lovely mouthfeel as the wine touches the palate with a silky texture and core fruit flavours of white nectarine and pear then lees and moments of citrus and blossoms. Quite plush, balanced and well made with a lengthy finish. Best drinking from late 2022 through 2026."
The winery writes "This delightful Pinot Gris is a full bodied wine with spice, pear, fig and honeysuckle notes. The wine is soft and voluptuous and finishes dry."
