FIVE STARS 95/100 | Stuart Knox, The Real Review
93 POINTS | Dave Brookes, James Halliday's Wine Companion
Another stunner produced by John Duval - one of the most highly regarded Australian winemakers of his era. John Duval was head winemaker for Penfolds for 12 years and was responsible for Grange and all of Penfolds other exalted releases during that time. In 1991, and again in 2000, he was named Red Winemaker of the Year at the International Wine Challenge held annually in London. A man with Duval's legendary credentials will only offer exceptional wines under his own name - Entity is always a gem of a wine and the 2020 is no exception.
Stuart Knox, The Real Review writes "Ink black core, relaxing only slightly to a deep purple rim. Plums, dark chocolate and vanilla pods on the nose. Deep, powerful and brooding on the palate. Dark fruits, black olives and woody spices all coil around each other, vying for attention, leaning heavily into the savoury spectrum. The tannins bring a further sense of power with a firmness that suits, while still retaining a fine powdery texture. A serious food wine."
