A powerful expression of robust Australian Cabernet from a winery synonymous with flavour packed wines. This is a deadly serious style drawing saliva from the mouth with its blackcurrant and dried bay leaf flavours coupled with very firm (but not dry) tannins. An impressive, assertive wine that most definitely demands respect.
The winery writes "A two-part harmony of raging, surging, power-bursting berry fruit flavours harnessed by swirling, rolling currents of tannin - four-square and block in shape. Licks of racing acidity are slick and keen around the entire palate’s edge. The depth of berry fruit is Mariana Trench-like, and the drying tannins that make for a long, lingering aftertaste promise life in the cellar. This is cabernet that is proud, yet also winningly friendly."
