92 POINTS | Jamie Goode
Always highly regarded, Te Kahu delivers a seamless Bordeaux style blend with more palate weight and generosity than prior vintages. This is world class wine at a bargain price. Hook in.
Jamie Goode writes "Merlot-dominant blend with some Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Malbec. Fresh and focused with a lovely gravelly edge to the lovely expressive red and black fruits. Its really assured and harmonious with mid weight fruit working in harmony with the structure."
The winery writes "Deep crimson red. Complex aromatics of ripe plum, a touch of cassis, fresh rosemary and roasted meats. The palate is generous and approachable but also has a high level of sophistication with fine grained tannins enveloping a dense body of succulent black fruits."
