93 POINTS | James Suckling
Domaine Chignard produces wines from one of the best sites in the Fleurie appellation (a sub-region of Beaujolais). This, combined with the decades of winemaking knowledge in the Chignard family, means that Domaine Chignard produce some of the top wines from this special growing region. Vinted from 100% gamay, this 2019 release is medium bodied with fine tannins and flavours in the red berry spectrum. Superbly structured and composed.
James Suckling writes "Anything but loud, this Fleurie is a finely etched and rather sleek beauty with plenty of mineral mystery and moderately dry tannins that together give it a firm backbone. Long and sophisticated finish. Drink or hold."
