Chateau Garage is the exciting small batch project of Ollie Powrie - former Head Viticulturist for Villa Maria and well known character on the Hawke's Bay wine scene. Few people have such impeccable grower contacts as Ollie so Chateau Garage was always going to be blessed with great fruit - and these first releases mark an auspicious debut from a 'micro-brand' that is well worth watching.

2021 was an excellent growing season in the Bay. Perfectly ripe cabernet was sourced from the famed Cornerstone Vineyard and handcrafted into this bespoke, concentrated wine. It's been made in a serious, structured style that deserves cellar time to be seen at its best.
