Plush and generous this is lovely soft Grenache dominant Cotes du Rhone with soft fruit and delightful savoury herb edge. The quality of the 2017 vintage shines loud and clear. Excellent wine at a compelling price point.
The Chapoutier family have produced wines in the Rhone Valley since 1808. Michel Chapoutier, currently in charge, has combined tradition with a dynamic, creative approach and makes some of the best wines of the region. This is a delightful Grenache and Syrah blend with a soft ruby colour. Morello cherries on the nose with a hint of spicy pepper. The palate is supple and structured with candied fruits and elegant tannins.
The winery writes "Over delivering on quality, the Chapoutier Côtes-du-Rhône Belleruche is juicy, powerful and fruity. The intense fruit notes and delicate tannins, make it an ideal pairing for cuisine featuring, young milk-fed lamb."
