It comes from the area of Castellina in Chianti and is produced only in years in which the grapes reach the quality desired. The colour is an intense ruby red. The aroma reveals broad and ethereal notes of ripe fruit and spices. The structure is elegant.

The distributor writes "The wine is characterised by an intense ruby red colour. The aroma is full and persistent and is characterised by hints of mature, dark fruit, spices and a slight smoky, oak note. On the palate it is concentrated and elegant with supple tannins giving the wine a lingering finish."
