From the heart of Alentejano in Portugal, Monte das Promessas is a real winner. Vinted from predominantely touriga nacional, the backbone of many ports, this is classically appealing and a genuine expression of Alentejano reds.
Intense ruby red in colour with aromas of red fruits and dark chocolate flowing through to the palate, the 2020 Monte opens up with every sip. Subtle hints of tannins and acidity make for a balanced, persistent finish. Delicious.

Tasting Notes
Vinted from a blend of 40% touriga nacional, 30% syrah, 20% petit verdot, 10% alicante bouschet.
The winery writes "Deep color with a violet hue, with good concentration on the nose. Rich in aroma, with notes of ripe black fruit combined with floral notes. In the mouth, it is quite fruity and with good structure, denoting excellent balance between tannins and acidity. Long and elegant finish."
