A lovely, and thoroughly modern, example of Nero d'Avola - the full bodied red wine that is Sicily's gift to the world. If you’ve never tried Nero d'Avola before, think of it like a glass of gutsy Aussie Shiraz with something to prove. It's a bold, robust wine; flavour packed but supple and rounded in the mouth. The tannins are silky and soft and a lick of fresh acidity cleans up the palate admirably. Lovely wine to enjoy by itself or with a gutsy Mediterranean meal.
The winery writes "A modern take on Nero d’Avola, the Godfather of Sicilian grapes! Ruby red, intense, with purplish highlights. Intense aroma, with red fruit, balsamic and floral hints. Warm, long-lasting finish."
