91/100 | The Australian Wine Review "the intensity and conviction of the flavours is enough to make you do a pricetag double take". (reviewed at AUD$15
Australia's oldest family-owned winery, Yalumba pioneered Viognier plantings in South Australia's Eden Valley. Hands down, year after year, we have always said this is the best value Viognier in the world and for years has gotten our vote as the best quaffing white wine available in New Zealand. The 2018 is no exception. Loaded with tangy tropical fruits. Utterly delicious.
Vegetarian and Vegan friendly.
Raymond Chan writes: "Brilliant straw-yellow colour with pale lemon-gold hues, a little lighter on the rim. The nose is elegant with good depth and penetrating intensity of ripe citrus fruit with floral blossom and lemon zest, along with subtle notes of exotic florals and a hint of spice. Dry to taste and medium-full bodied, the palate has very good depth and intensity with a taut and concentrated line of bright exotic citrus fruit and flora blossom, showing excellent clarity and purity."
