"Medium-full bodied with density and presence, the palate has a softness and restraint. Rich, succulent flavours of dark red berry and plum fruit infused with exotic herbs, spices, and cedary oak build in intensity and fill the mouth. The tannins and acidity are integrated and harmonious, providing a round, sumptuousness. The wine finishes with long and smooth, spicy fruit and oak nuances." 18.5/20 Raymond Chan The winery writes: "Especially low yielding ripe hand picked fruit, gentle winemaking and extended maturation in French oak have resulted in a complex and powerful wine. It has aromas of ripe cherries and plums, a rich and silky smooth palate and a long spicy finish. A great example of one of the best Central Otago Pinot Noirs. Best rewards are gained by careful cellaring."
