92 POINTS | NZ Wine Rater
92 POINTS | Cameron Douglas MS 'Polished, fresh, fruity and well made.'
An excellent example of Hawke's Bay Pinot Gris from this iconic producer. It's rich and textural with flavours in the pear and citrus spectrum and a hint of spice on the finish. Great buying at well under the $20 barrier.
The winery writes "Aromas of Nashi pear, stone-fruit and a gentle spice background are evident on the nose. The wine is rich, creamy and textural with great purity of fruit and balance."
NZ Wine Rater writes "Complex, vinous nose with some noticeable reduction that opens with airtime. There are aromas of artichokes, mushrooms, brown sugar, seaweed and lavender. A dry, rich, tasty, structured wine with a viscous, oily texture where the lavender notes on the nose are mirrored on the finish."
Cam Douglas MS writes " 92 Points. Aromas and flavours of ripe brown pear and yellow apple, some quince and honeysuckle moments contrasted by refreshing acidity. A silky textured wine with a core of fruit, a white spice and floral outline and lengthy balanced finish. Polished, fresh, fruity and well made. Best drinking from purchase and through send of summer 2023."
