Brought into New Zealand by masterful wine importer Steve Bennett MW, this 2014 Reserva is vinted from 100% Tempranillo that was matured in American oak barrels for 18 months before being further bottle-aged for 36 months - making a total of nearly 5 years estate aging before release!
This wine has been made to age gracefully and it has. At 8 years old, it is in phenomenal form. This is a big, mouthfilling wine with Tempranillo's naturally juicy, red-fruited charms amplified with spicy oak notes - and the wine has that lovely softness to it that can only come with time. This is yet another Steve Bennett MW wine that gets a huge tick from us. Buy with our highest recommendation and enjoy over the coming 3-5 years.
