Crafted by a highly respected, international award winning Central Otago producer and vinted to sell under their own label in the $40 bracket, this is the first Pinot Noir we have released under our Big Villa Library label. Produced from a range of vineyards across the region this is generously proportioned, bottle-aged pinot with mouthfilling dark, spicy cherry flavours and pillow-soft tannins. It's soft and savoury, and the finish is fresh and long with lovely fine acid structure. Six years on from harvest this small batch wwine is in peak condition, and will remain in this perfect drinking window over the coming 3+ years.
In our view it is clearly the best value Central Otago Pinot Noir in the New Zealand market today.

Tasting Notes
This rewarding, generous pinot noir that is perfectly bottle-aged and looking very sharp six years on from harvest. Expect classic Central Otago flavours of dark spicy cherry with plush mouthfeel, creamy acidity and gentle tannin structure. It is harmonious and seductive on the palate with some lovely gamey undertones. Enjoy now or over the coming 3 years.
Sam Kim writes "94 pts. Seductively charming and engaging, the wine shows dark berry, tapenade, warm mushroom and roasted nut aromas on the nose. The concentrated palate delivers excellent weight and roundness, wonderfully enhanced by silky texture and polished tannins. Beautifully matured and fabulously drinkable."
