BIN END SUPERDEAL | NOW SELLING BELOW TRADE | SAVE $180 CASE BUYS
93 POINTS FIVE STARS | Sam Kim, Wine Orbit. "The wine is expressive and approachable, and offers excellent drinking."
Mount Edward's decision to shelve their Wanaka Road brand has dropped this bombshell deal in our laps and this excellent 2015 Pinot is now selling below trade with the Advintage Advantage. Organically farmed and sitting on the fuller side of medium-full bodied, this is a dark and very supple wine with soft rounded palate weight that's loaded with a plush combo of red and black fruits.
Wanaka Road has been been vinted by winemaker Duncan Forsythe to show well in its youth and that's just what it's doing. After a couple of years in the bottle it is right on song and will continue to be at its very best over the coming 2-3 years. Now under $25 on a case buy this delicious wine is seriously good value. Limited stocks. Climb in.
Sam Kim, Wine Orbit writes "This is delightfully fruited and fragrant on the nose showing red/dark cherry, plum and floral characters with subtle spice notes. The palate delivers attractive fruit intensity and rounded mouthfeel, beautifully framed by silky texture and fine tannins. The wine is expressive and approachable, and offers excellent drinking."
