New World Wine Awards judges write "One of the early success stories of grape growing in Marlborough is the Rose family. Planting their vineyards on the banks of the Wairau River in 1978 heroing Sauvignon Blanc, it’s no surprise that 40 years later this wine has been awarded Champion Sauvignon Blanc. Aromas of green melon and kiwifruit are also in the flavour, along with a suggestion of grapefruit. Like all good Sauvignon Blanc, the acid is electrifying."
The winery writes "This is an elegant wine with intense tropical and stone fruit aromatics with delicate citrus and floral notes, full flavoured and textured. The wine has fine mouthwatering mineral acidity on the finish that refreshes the palate, leaving you longing for more."
