The Villa Wolf estate (founded as J.L. Wolf) lies in the picturesque village of Wachenheim in the Pfalz region in Germany. Ernst Loosen, of the famed Dr. Loosen estate in the Mosel area, took over the winery in 1996 and, under his stewardship, Villa Wolf wines have developed a global reputation for impeccable clean wines that are obviously great value.
The Villa Wolf Pinot Noir Rosé is a true rosé, made with a brief maceration before pressing to extract the lovely salmon color. It is light and refreshing, with deliciously bright berry and fruit flavors and a clean, zippy finish. It’s perfect for alfresco meals, especially when ham is involved

The winery writes "Villa Wolf Pinot Noir Rosé has an excellent balance which is already showcased in the beautiful salmon color of the wine, not too dark not too light. On the palate it gives you the gu- ilty pleasure of delightful fruitiness, but then, with the help of the crisp acidity, it has a clean and crisp finish so as to al- most finish on the drier, more sophisticated side. It is perfect for hanging out on the patio with friends and a wide variety of grilled fare."
