From two of Villa's Marlborough vineyards comes this rich, opulent pinot gris which is every inch the reserve-level wine. The palate is creamy and packed with tropical fruit flavours but is nicely balanced by soft acidity on the finish. Stunning.

Michael Cooper writes "Delicious in its youth, the 2020 vintage (5*) was grown in the Awatere Valley and fermented in a mix of stainless steel tanks (61 per cent) and seasoned oak barriques (39 per cent). A sturdy, Alsace-style Pinot Gris, it is scented and vibrantly fruity, with fresh, concentrated stone-fruit flavours, gentle acidity, a sliver of sweetness (12 grams/litre of residual sugar), and a finely balanced, rich finish."
Sam Kim writes "Stylish and delectable at the same time, the wine shows apricot, Nashi pear, subtle spice and rich floral aromas on the nose. The palate delivers terrific fruit intensity combined with silky mouthfeel and refreshing acidity, leading to a lengthy expansive finish."
