FIVE STARS 93/100 | Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
From one of the most successful producers in New Zealand this Sauvignon Blanc is powerful and refined. Bursting with the Marlborough Sauvvy flavours everyone knows and loves this affordable wine is certain to exceed your highest expectations.
The winery writes "Capturing the essence of Marlborough, this Cellar Selection Sauvignon Blanc is a blend of selective parcels from both the Wairau and Awatere Valleys. Pungent aromas of fresh herbs and spring blossoms lead into a juicy palate bursting with grapefruit, lemons, and limes. The wine finishes with fresh balanced sherbet-like acidity and mineral flinty tones."
Cameron Douglas MS writes "Pungent, fruity, very tropical, varietal and classically styled with a bouquet filled with aromas of fresh grapefruit and nettles, mango and white peach, red bell-pepper and moist stone minerality. Salivating and fresh, crisp and fruity with flavours that mirror the bouquet. Long finish, pre fruit flavours and delicious. What’s not to like!"
Sam Kim writes "Upfront and beautifully aromatic, the wine shows passionfruit, feijoa and lime zest aromas with a hint of musky complexity. The palate displays excellent weight and fruit intensity backed by juicy acidity, finishing delectable and lingering."
NZ Wine Rater writes "A restrained yet fragrant, delicate bouquet with a sweet, candied lift. Clean, zesty, fresh and dry - a lighter bodied style yet well-poised with generous fruit and crisp acidity. Classically Marlborough with wide appeal for lovers of this style."
