MARTINBOROUGH PINOT SUPERBUY
RECOMMENDED | Cameron Douglas MS "Smooth, balanced"
What a deal! Softly satisfying, and with the classic savoury notes that Martinborough Pinot Noir is so well known for, this is terrific buying. The palate is supple and loaded with flowing dark red fruit / cherry flavours. The tannins are fine and integrated. The acidity is fresh and nicely persistent.
It's not often that you see Martinborough Pinot for $14.99 these days and this nicely balanced wine is an obvious bargain. Climb in.
Cameron Douglas writes "Specific and distinctive aromas of light red berry fruit then autumn leaves and clay stone soil scents. Strawberry and red plum, a light dried herb note, cherry and pressed red rose aromas. On the palate - dry with fruit and earth flavours that mirror the nose, a lighter weight wine with a soft satin almost creamy texture, moderate acidity and tannins. Smooth, balanced, low oak seam throughout and ready to enjoy upon purchase and through 2023."
