GOLD MEDAL | Hawke's Bay A&P Bayleys Wine Awards
FIVE STARS 93/100 | Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
92 POINTS | Cameron Douglas MS
Legendary Kiwi chef, Al Brown has teamed up with the guys at Constellation to create his own range of wines. Enter Tipping Point - the wines that 'do good and taste great'. Each varietal has been carefully selected to celebrate winemaking in the respective region and every purchase from the Tipping Point range contributes towards NZ charities that are close to Al's heart.
Vinted from Hawke's Bay Merlot, The Beachcomber Rosé is fresh and fun with bright summer berry notes and well-balanced acidity. Buying this wine contributes to Sea Cleaners - a charity focussed on removing rubbish from our marine environments.
Cameron Douglas MS writes "Very enticing aromas of strawberries and red cherries, tropical fruits and a touch of grapefruit. Crisp, fresh, fruity and spritzy on the palate with a core of fruit flavours that mirror the nose, plenty of acidity and a balanced, even finish. Drinking well now and through end of summer 2023."
Sam Kim writes "Fabulously ripe and lifted, the wine shows watermelon, apricot, lemon peel and white floral aromas. The palate delivers gorgeous elegance and flow, beautifully complemented by juicy fruit intensity and vibrant acidity, finishing long and refreshing."
Al Brown writes "Boy do we make some wicked Rosé in NZ. This delicious drop from the Hawke’s Bay has a kind of ‘berries and cream’ thing going on. It screams summer and lends itself perfectly to an afternoon tipple under the shade of a sun umbrella."
