FIVE STARS 93/100 | Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
The Vegan Wine Project is a new venture by the Yalumba empire. They wanted to take the winemaking process back to the basics and ended up creating a vegan range packed with flavour and texture. This rosé is crisp, dry and refreshing. The grapes were gently pressed to give delicately coloured juice. The palate shows hints of Turkish Delight followed by a dry finish. Delicious.
The winery writes "Light coral pink in colour. Aromas reminiscent of freshly picked strawberries and Turkish delight. The light bodied palate captivates with more Turkish delight, a fine texture and fresh, dry finish."
Sam Kim writes "This is delicate and elegantly charming with white flesh peach, watermelon and lemon sorbet aromas on the nose, followed by a finely focused palate that's lingering and mouth-watering. Bright and juicy, offering fabulous drinking."
Cameron Douglas MS writes "Delicate, bright, fresh and loaded with scents of cherry and red apple skin then white flowers and a touch of salty air. On the palate - lite-weight, crisp, refreshing and dry. The core of fruits and delicate floral overtones make this a fun, easy to drink and talking piece wine."
