FIVE STARS 93/100 | Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
This is a fine example of dry coastal Pinot Gris crafted by acclaimed Hawke's Bay winemaker Rod McDonald. Fresh on the palate with classic regional nashi pear and ripe citrus flavours, it is a vibrant style with good mid palate drive.
Beautifully composed and elegantly styled, the wine shows delicate aromas of nectarine, fresh pear, apple and floral on the nose, followed by a concentrated palate that is linear and flowing. Delightfully appealing and persistent.
Sam Kim, Wine Orbit writes "Varietally pure and elegantly fragrant with Nashi pear, rockmelon, floral and subtle oatmeal characters on the nose. The palate offers excellent weight and persistency, combined with creamy mouthfeel and well-pitched acidity, making it delectable and fabulously drinkable."
