As the name suggests this wine has been a passion project for winemaker Rod McDonald who describes Loved Up as one of the most challenging wines he has made in his career. Extended aging has produced a wine with real depth and this punchy release is complex and rich with flavours in the creamy lemon and brioche spectrum. Those broad, mouthfilling flavours move through to a long finish and the lasting impression is crisp and tangy with some lingering bready notes. Bravo.
The winery writes "Golden with a fine bead of bubbles, it's complex on the nose with vanilla, almond and brioche and brulee flavours on the palate. The wine is generous, rich and mouth-filling and showing appealing secondary characters from extended aging on lees with a beautiful dry finish."
