Swift Wines are a boutique winemaking operation, with a focus on making quality, minimal intervention wines with maximum varietal expression.
This 2020 chardonnay is only the second edition of this exciting wine. Vinted from Bridge Pa fruit and whole bunch pressed, this is fresh, vibrant wine from a winemaking operation on the rise.
The winery writes "Made with Clone 15 hand selected fruit. Filled third off the press to a second fill barrel with full solids. This harmonious blend of land, climate, vines, people & culture represents the pinnacle of Chardonnay."
Cameron Douglas MS writes "An attractive bouquet with aromas of fresh peach and apricot, vanilla pod, some fresh raw brown sugar and baking spices of wood. A calm, even and balanced bouquet. Crisp and refreshing, satin cream texture with contrasting acidity and oak mouthfeel. Flavours of stone fruits and citrus flesh, apple and vanilla then a mild toasty wood and clay-stone mineral package. Well made and ready to drink from 2021 through 2025."
Yvonne Lorkin writes "I could tell you all the technical wizardry involved in creating this organically grown chardonnay, but that might be a distraction to its deliciousness and that wouldn’t do at all. Erupting with ripe grapefruit, roast nectarine and creme brulee topping, caramelised, softly smoky spicy oak and incredibly juicy, citrus saturation and terrific tension. Created by Lauren Swift, it’s a joy to drink, refreshing, vivacious, uplifting. And that’s all you need to know."
