Raymond Chan writes " Medium-bodied, the palate is well proportioned with a dense and softly concentrated core of ripe blackberries, boysenberries and black plums, along with black pepper and spice nuances. The mouthfeel is soft with supple, mouthfilling tannins, and the roundness of the palate is enhanced by soft acidity. The wine carries to an even, mellow but well-packed finish of blackberry fruit. This is a softly concentrated Syrah with ripe flavours of blackberry and boysenberry fruit, and a supple, rounded mouthfeel. Match with lamb, beef and venison dishes over the next 4+ years. A single estate wine, fruit from the Gimblett Gravels."
