FIVE STARS 94/100 | Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
18.5 POINTS | Candice Chow, Raymond Chan Wine Reviews
We fell in love with this wonderful wine after tasting it at a trade event this year. Produced by Steve Voysey (the winemaker behind the legendary Montana 'O' Chardonnay), Coordinates is produced from the same vineyard and uses the same winemaking techniques that put 'O' Chardonnay on the world stage. It's fantastic; 100% barrel-fermented with those powerful Gisborne fruits shining through from start to finish. It's complex, rich and mouthfilling - and after one glass we know that you'll agree that it's very sharply priced for chardonnay of this calibre.
It's worth pointing out that at it's peak (a decade or so ago) Montana 'O' retailed in the $35 - $45 bracket and was a widely successful premium Chardonnay brand.

The winery writes "A sumptuous blend of Gisborne Mendoza Chardonnay from Ormond made by winemaker Steve Voysey noted for the original Montana” O” Chardonnay. Richly fruited and gorgeously fragrant, this wine is complex with layered citrus and stone fruit aromas elevated by vanilla and cedar characters. There is a creamy mouth feel which is opulent and stylish. The wine delivers Gisborne’s bold elegance with a long smooth lasting finish."
Sam Kim writes "Elegant and stylish, the inviting bouquet shows apricot, vanilla, roasted hazelnut and brioche characters, leading to a beautifully weighted palate delivering silky texture and juicy acidity. Gorgeously composed and harmonious, it's complex and flavoursome with a lengthy expansive finish."
